Health-related components of physical fitness include body-composition, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscular endurance, neuromuscular learning and strength. 

Skill-related components include:

  • Agility (defined as the ability to move in any direction quickly)
  • Balance (in multiple dimensions)
  • Coordination (hand eye, foot eye,)
  • Reactions
  • Rhythm
  • Power
  • Speed

The relative importance of each of the above components varies depending on the individual.

SET GOALS
Determine and write down your fitness goals, so you are more likely to achieve them.
Avoid making goals such as “….. I want to lose weight…..”
Be specific.
Be realistic.
You will then be more likely to achieve and maintain them long term.
